Welcome to the One Caribbean Business Network Foundation (“OCBN,” “we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, platform, events, and services. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Membership & Accounts

Eligibility: Membership is open to individuals, businesses, and organizations aligned with OCBN’s mission and values.
Profile Information: You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when creating your profile. Impersonation or false representation is strictly prohibited.
Membership Tiers: Membership may include free and paid options (Explorer, Discoverer, Premium). Specific benefits are described on our platform.
Renewals & Cancellations: Paid memberships does not renew automatically. You may cancel at any time, but fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
Termination: OCBN reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or undermines the integrity of the network.

Community Guidelines (Code of Conduct)

By joining OCBN, you agree to conduct yourself in line with our values of Inclusivity, Collaboration, Integrity, Authenticity, and Impact. Specifically:

Treat all members with respect and professionalism.
Do not engage in harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior.
Do not spam members or misuse contact information from the directory.
Use the platform and events for genuine networking and collaboration.
Represent your business truthfully and ethically.

Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of the content you upload (e.g., profiles, logos, images, posts). By sharing content, you grant OCBN a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote it on our platform and channels.
OCBN Content: The OCBN platform, events, and materials are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute OCBN’s content without permission.
Content Removal: OCBN reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.

Privacy & Data Use

Your privacy is important to us. Our data practices are explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using OCBN, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in that policy.

Events & Networking

Registration: All events require registration while some events require payment. Event fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
Participation: You agree to conduct yourself respectfully during both online and in-person events.
Recordings & Photography: By attending OCBN events, you consent to photography, video, and recording, which may be used for promotional purposes.
Networking Etiquette: Events are intended for building relationships, not for aggressive selling or solicitation.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Memberships: All membership fees are non-refundable once paid, except where required by law. If you cancel, your membership remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
Events: Event tickets are generally non-refundable. If OCBN cancels an event, you will be offered a refund or the option to transfer your registration to a future event.
Exceptional Circumstances: Refund requests due to extraordinary situations (e.g., illness, force majeure) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at OCBN’s sole discretion.

Complaints & Dispute Resolution

Complaints: Members who wish to raise a concern or complaint should contact us at info@ocbn.org. We will acknowledge receipt and work to resolve the issue fairly and promptly.
Informal Resolution: We encourage resolving disputes amicably and in alignment with OCBN’s values of collaboration and integrity.
Formal Dispute Resolution: If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be governed by the laws of Curaçao and subject to the jurisdiction of Curaçao courts.

Sponsorships & Partnerships

OCBN may feature sponsors, Economic Interest Groups (EIGs), and strategic partners on its platform and events.
Sponsorship or partnership recognition does not imply endorsement of products or services.
Sponsorship terms (visibility, benefits, obligations) will be defined in separate agreements.
OCBN reserves the right to refuse or terminate sponsorships or partnerships that conflict with its mission, values, or community standards.

Disclaimers & Liability

OCBN facilitates connections but is not responsible for the outcome of business relationships, agreements, or transactions between members.
Information shared on the platform or at events is for networking and educational purposes only. It should not be considered legal, financial, or professional advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OCBN disclaims liability for any direct or indirect damages arising from your use of the platform, events, or services.

Termination of Access

OCBN reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account or deny access to events/services if a member breaches these Terms, behaves in a way that is inconsistent with our values, or otherwise disrupts the community.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Curaçao. Any disputes will be resolved under Curaçao jurisdiction.
